People who need eyes protection in their workplace, they may wander to know that prescription glasses and safety glasses are not the same. Prescription glasses are not safe for eyes. Because RX safety glasses and regular prescription glasses are not made on the same base. The safety glasses are designed for eyes protection whether you are at home or on the job. Generally, they have a certain thickness in order to compete with different flying objects and hazardous materials. Regular prescription eyewear is made for vision correction and they don’t have a standard to protect eyes from hazardous things. But, there is an option that you can wear safety specs over prescription glasses. These can largely use in a lab and construction site and these safety specs have extra space to wear the prescription glasses underneath that safety eyewear. For safe option, consult your eye doctor for eyes protection.
